Photo Guide
We want your pet portrait to be absolutely paw-fect, and it all starts with the right photo! Follow these simple tips to ensure the best results.
How to Get the Perfect Shot for Your Pet Portrait
Eye Level
Take the photo at your pet’s eye level for the best result and natural look.
An Accurate Headshot
A clear, close-up photo of your pet’s head and shoulders works best.
Facing the Camera
Your pet should face the camera or slightly to the side for a great angle.
Good Lighting
Use natural daylight and avoid flash or harsh shadows. Strictly No filter.
Sharp & Clear
Ensure the image is sharp, high-resolution, and not blurry. No Screenshot.
Floppy Ears
Make sure long ears are fully in the frame and not cut off.
Examples of bad photos
Flash photo
This isn’t a spooky Halloween photo! Snap your pet’s picture in natural light, no ghostly flashlights, please!
Blur photo
Avoid motion-blur photos. For the best results, make sure your pet is sitting or staying still when you take the picture.
Missing something
Make sure the entire face, head and fluffy ears are clearly visible in the photo.
